Weather and Temperature

When it is cloudy or rainy, the temperature is typically between 4 and 5 degrees. However, at night, the temperature drops significantly to 1-3 degrees. Towards the middle of August and into September, the climate at Tarsar Marsar starts to become cooler. During this time, the temperature at night drops to between -3 and -5 degrees.

The Difficulty Level of the Trek

The Tarsar Marsar trek is suitable for all levels, though it can be tricky for those without any prior experience. The most difficult part of this trek is the steep descent after Sunderser lake.

For those with no trekking experience, it is recommended to spend two to three months both physically and mentally preparing for the trek. Experienced trekkers will find this trek especially rewarding due to the beautiful scenery and mild challenges.
